For Govaplast Street, strong partnerships are essential and that certainly applies to our collaboration with Placora in West Flanders (B).
Together, we worked on the Knokke project, where today a series of iconic benches adorn the seafront promenade from Heist to the Zwin.
The benches are made from durable, recycled plastic and finished with Corten steel.
Thanks to their elegant, flowing shape, transitioning smoothly from seat to backrest, they offer both visual appeal and comfort.
A great example of how circular materials and smart design come together in public space.
This project highlights the value of regional collaboration in sustainable urban development.
More about the company:
In ’69, Placora started as a store for plastic household and building supplies. Later, the range of building supplies grew and the focus shifted to the craftsman. But the world changed, and Placora evolved with it. From building supplies to outdoors and from plastic to sustainable, recycled plastic.
Today, Chris and Janis Coppin are your point of contact. A dynamic father-son duo who are happy to visit you to discuss the possibilities and show you the sustainable materials. A jovial team that advises you personally, as befits a reliable family business.
