Safety and stability first: anchoring Govaplast street furniture
To ensure the safety and durability of our street furniture, we would like to inform you about the importance of properly anchoring our products.
Why anchor?
Street furniture is anchored to prevent benches, tables, or planters from being moved unintentionally. But safety also plays a major role. Although our furniture is sturdy and heavy, a poorly placed bench can still tip over or cause injury — and no one wants that.
In addition, some models require anchoring to keep the legs properly in place. If the legs spread apart, the boards may start to bend — something we obviously want to avoid.
Which anchoring for which model?
Govaplast offers a suitable (optional or mandatory) anchoring solution for each model:
Anchoring type A-set (for models where the legs can be drilled) includes:
1 galvanized threaded bar DIN 975 M10 x 250 mm
1 stainless steel sleeve nut M10 x 20 mm
Example: bench Bonn, bench Canvas
Anchoring type B-set (for models where drilling into the legs is not possible) includes:
2 L-brackets
2 Torx screws (6 x 40 mm)
2 nail plugs (8 x 60 mm)
Example: planters
Some models have extended legs that are buried directly into the ground.
Example: table Oslo, bench Knokke, bench Paris, bench Level X
Sometimes, eye bolts are required. These are supplied by default when necessary.
Example: bench Porto, table Oslo
